See if you can guess the answer to this riddle:
– The word has seven letters . . . . .
– Preceded God . . . . .
– Greater that God . . . . .
– More evil than the devil . . . . .
– All poor people have it . . . . .
– Wealthy people need it . . . . .
– If you eat it, you will die . . . . .
Come on! Think about it for a minute!
Psalms 49:17

The most difficult thing we may have to do each day is assess who we are and how we feel about ourselves. The power we have to determine our own attitude is comically told in this story.
“A famous clown from the circus feeling depressed visits a doctor. The doctor doesn’t recognize the celebrity without his makeup. The doctor after talking with the man says the best thing he can prescribe for him is a a visit to the circus to watch a famous clown at work.” (Adapted from Biblical Archaelogical Review, May/June 2012, p.15)

Let’s not sell ourselves short. Many people admire us for what they see. If we could see ourselves the way others see us, even superficially, we would feel better in most circumstances. So for many of us, we have the medicine to help ourselves. This may be one interpretation for the Savior’s comment, “. . . Physician, heal thyself . . .” (Luke 4:23.)

It’s

If you’re like me, your thoughts turn to fresh fruits, vegetables and salads and okay, if you must know, my thighs!
This is my favorite green salad. It comes from my mother, one of the world’s best cooks! I especially like the salad dressing! Store bought dressings simply can’t compare to one you make yourself. Right?
