CTR- Choose The Right
I read a story in the newspaper some time ago about United Parcel Service – UPS. ….”With fuel prices near record levels, everyone is looking to save money at the gasoline pump,” it said. UPS began saving millions of dollars by changing how its drivers drive.
The delivery company saved 3 million gallons of gas nationwide and shaved 30 million miles off its delivery routes by reconfiguring its routes so that drivers turn right as often as possible.
Cutting out left turns means less waiting at lights, more miles per gallon and safer deliveries because trucks are not crossing traffic lanes in intersections. Left-hand turns increase idle time, emissions, and fuel consumption.
Are you getting the point? There is good application here for our lives. Choosing The Right is the most efficient way for us here on earth, too.
